We got married on May 16, 2013 in the Twin Falls, Idaho LDS Temple. It was so beautiful! I guess we are newly-wed enough that I am still allowed to be obsessed with our wedding. Haha. The couple of weeks before and after our wedding were a crazy whirl wind. Not that it was bad, it was actually fantastic, but let me explain:
School got out about three weeks before our wedding, and since we were going to be living in Indiana for the summer, Malyssa and I drove my car home as soon as finals ended so that it would already be home. That was seriously the funnest (yes, I know that's not a word) road trip that I have ever taken in my life. Things with Malyssa are always crazy fun though.
I was home for two weeks, and I spent that time finishing up last minute wedding preparations, doing all sorts of fun things with my family, and relaxing after an insane semester.
After two weeks at home, my family and I piled into our van, and drove the 27 hours back out to Idaho. We got there five days before I got married - but those five days were jam packed! I got my bridals one night, Scott and his family got there the next, then all of our extended family started coming in, we got our couple's pictures (I don't even know what they're technically called), and then we got married!! It was such a great day - I remember feeling so happy and giddy and kind of like, did that really just happen?? But to be honest, I don't remember very many specifics at all. Good thing we have pictures! Here are some of my favorites:
It's hard to narrow down my very favorites. If you want to see them all, there is a link to my Facebook on the home page of this blog, and they're all up on there. So after we got married, we all drove to Montana for a reception that would be held the next day. The day after the reception, Scott and I and my family climbed back into our cars and drove back to Indiana. Scott and I drove straight to the Indianapolis airport to fly to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for our honeymoon. Can you see what I mean when I say it was a whirl wind?? Florida was SO beautiful and relaxing though. We had such a fun week.
After our honeymoon, we flew back to Indiana, had our second reception (which was also beautiful - a huge thanks to some special people!), and then we just got to enjoy being married! Let me tell you, it has been fantastic! I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father led me to Scott - I landed myself one great man, and I love him more and more every day. I am so grateful for his patience and love for me, and that we are sealed together for eternity. I hope that I can be half the eternal companion to him that he is to me.

So glad you are blogging now, I think you are going to love it. I am sure your family will love it too as a way to keep up with that is going on with you guys-I know it works well for us with my family being in FL! They get so used to be blogging that if I miss a few days I start getting phone calls making sure everything is okay, ha! Wanted to say that your wedding recap sounds a little bit like ours, such a whirlwind! I moved to IN (from FL) 3 weeks before our wedding, and worked at Biomet for 2 weeks before taking time off for our wedding/honeymoon. We drove to FL, were married a few days later, flew to Hawaii, flew back to FL, drove to IN, Stephen moved into the apartment, I went back to work at Biomet and then we drove back to FL two months later for Christmas! Crazy, fun times!
