The Little Things

What a great past couple of days. Big news ... Scott has an interview for an internship!! Phew, this has been kind of nerve-wracking to be honest. My eyes have really been opened to how difficult it can be to get an internship. I'm just going to throw this out there, but Scott is a pretty dang good student. Super high GPA, plenty of experience, and lots of good recommendations. Last year when he was looking for internships, there were understandably limited offers, given that he didn't have much experience and was only a junior. But this year, we thought it would be a breeze. No such luck... But hopefully, if all goes well with the interview, we will be headed to Los Alamos, New Mexico for the summer. The internship is with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and apparently it's top secret. Literally. He has to pass some test thing and won't be allowed to talk to me about any of the work he is doing if he gets the job! I am just glad that he is so excited about this opportunity, and I think it will be fun to live in a new place for the summer, too.

I have been putting in a lot of hours between my two jobs. I still am enjoying working in the Psych department. It has been a good and steady job for me throughout college. My new job, at the Sundance Spa has been so, so great. I love it! I love the people I work with, I love the location and feel of the spa. It definitely keeps me busy, and wears me out sometimes too, but I love it. If anyone from the Provo/Salt Lake area reads this post, I HIGHLY recommend getting treatments from the spa - seriously, they are so great. Best massage I've had!!

Sunday night, Scott and I went up to the temple and walked around for a while. It was SO nice to have weather that was finally comfortable enough to take a walk in at night. My love for temples has definitely grown a ton since I got married in one and also since I took a class on them last semester. Anyways, I just loved walking up there for a while. It was SO beautiful. And of course my love for Scott has grown a ton in the past ten (what??) months we've been married. I am so grateful for him, and I hope I show him that enough.

Lately I've been trying a lot of Pinterest things, so I think my next post will be dedicated to successes/failures of my Pinterest attempts. Until then!

This picture is up all over my social media - Facebook, Instagram, now my blog. And it's also the background on my phone and work computer. Ha! Good thing I don't get tired of it!!
